Dear Gan,
I would like to know your recommended oil for W203 manufactured in 2003. Another query is the leaking oil from the sensor that goes into the ECU. Does the wiring harness able to conduct the oil to the ECU even the ECU is placed higher in the compartment aside the firewall where the brake fluid resevior is.

According to The manufacturer’s standard … mobil one is recommended …
the engine oil leak for W203 C200k to the ECU,
normally It was Cause By The faulty Camshaft Magnet sensor from the magnet socket.
And when the current from the wire harness flow, the magnetic force will carry the oil particle along with it to the ECU.
The solution to this problem is to change the engine wire harness and the camshaft magnet cable to minimize the problem.

I have a w124 mercedes 1995 E200 16v that has a clonking 1st gear and bad shifting from the gear box, can i have a quote on a gearbox overhaul?
And the engine have tappet noises, any idea why?

Regarding your clonking noise, does it appear when the engine is cold or when it is warm? It is because the noise can be due to many reason and we have to check to be sure before coming to the conclusion we need to overhaul it.
And with the tappet noise, it may be cause by low engine oil pressure or the oil passages have been clogged up or the hydraulic lifter has worn out. Therefore, it is best for you to send it over for a diagnosis and checkup(which is free) to prevent any unnecessary work to your car. We will need to check on all relating part and their condition.

my car is w124 230e year 1986(imported), i send my car for overhaul on june 2009… and the foreman did changed a lot of things except piston( he said my piston still ok)…mys engine block and head also send for machine shop lathe. the reason i send for overhaul is engine oil always go into air filter , he said the piston ring no good already… after this overhaul my car’s main water piping(rubber) became very hard, but when i drive the car the temperature maintain at 80~c when stop and waiting frens about 25 minute the temperature will increase to 95~c. until today i notis the water in space water tank was less about 600cc since july 2009 the car came from workshop. i did ask the other foreman they say got presure in water piping and this is adnormal 1, i dun know what to do now, i hope Mr Gan will give some advise to me, thank you very much.

I have a E200K/W203 Y2005 with an intermmited sound coming from front-right fender, sounded like a faulty suspension as the car moves it has this “crackling” sound like from an old furniture. Its intermittent, so the sound comes and goes. I’ve brought it to a mechanic and he can’t find the source of the problem as the sound “dissapeared” on that day, but came back a few days later… haiz…
Also suspected my steering system has a problem as there’s a rattling sound when I turn the steering wheel full to the right… could be a ball bearing problem?
Let me know what’s your thoughts are…

Before this, I’ve use Ron95. I thought I want to give a try to feel the performance of Ron97 to my C230K(W202)year 2000. But to my surprise, it doesn’t perform as I expected in fact it became worse. I tried to speed up till 70km/hr but it doesn’t pickup and slowing down.
Do it have to do with the Ron97 or is it something wrong with my engine?

The *Higher RON* … Indicate For the *BETTER* Combustion Performance …. That’s why … higher RON will be *MORE* expensive …..
W202 M111 (*230 Komp*) …. still a High Performance *UNLEADED* Engine …. (those version with *REGULAR */ *LEADED / UNLEADED* system) UNLEADED Engine with* EXHAUST* Pollution Control System @ *Catalytic Convertor* ** The LOWER RON* (RON 95) ….* will cause the Engine* Imcomplete* Combustion if you had been used/applied *RON 97* all the time *…..* ** *That’s how you feel …. the PERFOMANCE …* ** You mentioned the engine performance dropped at speed *… 70 km/h …* *with NO pick and Slowing down ….. ???* **
How about if you* switch* it to* RON 97 ….* will it the same problem* …????* ** *if YES, it’s meant ….* the *Engine Condition* need to do something *…*Send it for inspection *…* quickily before it turn worst* ….* ** *If NO, it’s meant …. *the* PETROL …* is giving you the problem

do ur workshop are the franchise or branch centre of mercedes?what a different if i service my own benz between at ccb n ur workshop? once i service for the first at urs, my warranty with ccb will be cancel, is that right?
Dear sir. We are a 3rd party service center and have no link with CCB. However. Our workshop manager is trained from CCB. Regarding your warranty, it is best that you check with CCB. Hope it helps. Thank u

I’m currently having problem with Merc C200k w203…The car is lack in term of pick up and jerking(with high and low rev) espcially in the idle mode like during stopingat the traffic light.What i understand is the it may be cause by the air mass sensor or o2 sensor…If that be the problem how much it will cost me to change these two items..The jerk is getting worse from day to day and sometimes the engine may turn off suddenly…I’m currently in Kuala Lumpur

Need a quote to replace the air-con compressor for a model W124 200E (1990). Current compressor jammed up and burnt out the front plate (I think fron clutch plate) of the air con compressor twice (had one repalced a short while ago an today burnt out again).
